Triple (!) Parens with January 2008 Sandcastle

We have had a problem with extra sets of parentheses appearing in our CHMs, as mentioned in the list of fixes for the October 2007 Sandcastle release:

25. Sandcastle: In Prototype style Methods with no parameters on class members page and on the method pages show an extra set of parentheses

So I have installed the January 2008 versions of Sandcastle and SHFB.

Imagine my surprise when the CHM I created now has two extra sets of parentheses!

I have tried rebooting and reinstalling both components. I have also tried running with and without the SHFB "Sandcastle Presentation File Patches" for January 2008.

The problem persists.

Here is a sample of the underlying html created for this CHM:

<tr data="constructor; public; instance; declared"><td><img src="../icons/pubmethod.gif" /></td><td><a href="9da76597-5291-d44e-f5b3-9bbc2ddae0e5.htm">DataFormatException<span class="languageSpecificText"><span class="cs">()</span><span class="cpp">()</span><span class="nu">()</span></span></a></td><td><br /></td></tr>

I would appreciate any feedback people might have on this. In particular, I am wondering whether there is some other component that I may need to update, in addition to Sandcastle and SHFB.

Thanks,
Richard

Are you using a custom style sheet that replaces the stock presentation.css file? If so, compare it to the latest presentation style's version. You are probably missing some style elements. The most likely culprit is the "span.nu" style.

Thanks, Eric. That did the trick!
