How to edit TOC?

Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way to edit the TOC to insert conceptual-type topics within the reference topics? For instance, we'd like to insert a couple of PDF files underneath the main Namespace heading, not in a separate "conceptual" node. I hope that makes sense.

Is this possible...and if so, can someone point me in the right direction in terms of the stylesheet I should look at? (We're using the Prototype style)

Thanks,
Katy

Hi Katy,

The typical build process for Sandcastle will generate a toc.xml file at some point.  This file expresses the TOC in a general way for use with other tools.  It's created by transforming the reflection file generated by MRefBuilder using ProductionTransforms\CreatePrototypeToc.xsl.

You can modify toc.xml after its generated and before it's used by other tools and subsequent build tasks; e.g., ChmBuilder creates the HTML Help Workshop TOC file (.hhc) from toc.xml.
