What to store in source control?

We are just starting to use Sandcastle to generate help web pages that can be uploaded to a common dev wiki.

What is considered "best practice" in terms of what should be stored from the sandcastle project file folder?

Just my preference, but if it's in the project, it's in source control.  I'd exclude the content of the output folder (typically .\Help under the project folder if using SHFB) and the working folder if it's not under .\Help as that's all temporary stuff and output which typically isn't under source control.

We have settled on storing the project file only and have set up .gitignore for the output folder. Thanks!
