SandCastle only generates 1 HTML file

description

I have installed the SandCastle plugin for Visual Studio. The steps I follow are:

1.- Create a new SandCastle project.
2.- Add the references to my project
3.- Compile the SC project.

The problem is that I always get only 1 HTML file for my project, it contains the main namespace but when i click on a link the page does not exist

This sounds to me as if you forgot to set the permissions for your .chm file. This is a security issue. You have to right click the .chm file and check the Box 'Allow ...' at the properties page.

I'm not sure why you consider getting one HTML help file an issue. All content is compiled into a single HTML help file for Help 1 (CHM) output.

If you're building the output to a network share or copying the end result to one, it will be blocked. See the FAQ in the SHFB help file for a registry update that will allow help files to open and be viewable from network shares. The other option is to place the build output on your hard drive where it can be opened without issue.
